Our first event took place today – Online Workshop “Big Data Technologies in the Modern World”, which is held on the initiative of Meet and Code with the Global TechSoup Network for funding from SAP Corporation. Meet and Code is implemented by the GURT Resource Center in Ukraine.
The workshop turned out to be very dynamic and interesting!!!
During the event, the participants got acquainted with the concepts of “Big Data” and “Data Maning”, the importance of processing large amounts of data when making decisions in the modern digital world, tools for working with big data with which you can store, manage and analyze this data – and receive valuable information that was previously impossible to provide. Big data technologies such as in-memory data management, analytics, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning can help transform decision making, providing a clear picture of the impact of decision making on both business and everyday life. The speakers also acquainted the participants of the event with the capabilities of SAP products for analysis, forecasting and visualization of large data arrays.
Thanks to Gabriela Vozáriková, Ľubomír Antoni, Igor Belousov, Franz Seubert, Borys Levkovskyi for very rich and interesting reports!
The event was held by the Training and production research Center “SAP Academy” and the “Data Science” laboratory on the basis of the Department of Software Engineering of the Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics.

From the beginning of the autumn semester of 2020-2021 academic year, the MTS department has two laboratories with support for remote access to equipment (online laboratory), where students can create a project in real time and test its viability outside the laboratory. Laboratory classes are conducted using the Moodle platform (dl.nure.ua), video conferencing in Google Hangouts Meet and remote access to PCs and laboratory layouts.
Students and faculty use the remote TeamViewer software package to remotely access PCs in labs. Adjustment of laboratory equipment and support during laboratory work is carried out by teaching and support staff of the department.
The latest equipment is used for laboratory work, which has the ability to connect to a PC. Laboratory models and oscilloscopes are fully controlled by a personal computer. And with the help of the camera the work of the laboratory model is broadcast on the monitor. This allows you to remotely upload projects to lab layouts and view their results on a computer monitor using specialized software.
This approach to conducting laboratory work on models of device design on microcontrollers allows students to acquire skills in working with hardware, practical skills in programming microcontrollers and provides students with additional skills of remote work with hardware.

In the process of distance learning, the possibility of delivery of various e-learning materials and ensuring constant communication between teachers and students in the mode of video conferencing comes to the fore. Distance learning should allow students to perceive information at different rates, based on the individual capabilities of each. One of the important features of distance education is the ability to teach students with disabilities. This training will be especially effective in the early stages of rehabilitation, as the student can feel like a full participant in the learning process. This feeling is reproduced through a virtual presence in the classroom with your academic group. This effect can be achieved by using panoramic video recording with the effect of presence. This uses special equipment, such as cameras with a spatial coverage of 360º and high resolution (at least 4K), which provides the ability to dynamically enlarge images without significant loss of quality and the effect of rasterization.
The advantages of using new educational technologies and tools are ease of implementation, originality of tests and flexible adaptation to different ages of a person or child with special educational needs, adaptation to various high-definition digital devices, ergonomics of wireless pen or stylus, use as an interactive simulator for pupils of specialized correctional educational institutions.

The current challenges posed by the COVID2019 virus pandemic, and the therefore stringent measures of long-term total quarantine in emergencies, are leading to a complete shift to distance learning, which has become ancillary to most disciplines throughout the teaching cycle. Therefore, along with the possibility of posting e-learning materials with presentations, calculation and test tasks, as well as organizing interactive interaction with students in video conferencing, it is necessary to provide the learning process with the most realistic content available for distance learning services. Video content based on panoramic video technologies can become such content at the present stage.
At the Department of Biomedical Engineering of NURE for distance learning of students in quarantine, a new educational content was created, which is based on the use of modern video technologies with the effect of presence.

The teachers of the department conduct classes remotely with using the most modern teaching aids. Wherein not only immersive video capabilities are used, which were tested in the last semester, but also graphic tablets and interactive screens. This allows teachers to conduct distance learning in dynamic mode with screen sharing perform mathematical transformations and write snippets program code. What actually unites teaching approaches in chalkboard and presentation of the material in the form of a presentation, as well as significantly expands the methodological possibilities of conducting classes in remote mode when sharing the screen.
