Ajlun, Ajlun, Jordan, joined the scientific conference “Information intelligent systems”. Under the auspices of the CS Faculty (conference chairman, Professor Andrii Erokhin), representatives of the college presented several reports.

On June 20, NURE employees joined the webinar A Vision for a Gender Responsive and Inclusive Recovery in Ukraine, which was held in a hybrid format: at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London and online. The aim of the event is promote a Gender Responsive Recovery which is inclusive of all groups, in particular, as gender intersects with internal displacement, disability and psychological harm, conscription, ethnicity and other factors emerging from the ongoing wartime conditions. The discussion was based in Ukraine’s revised National Action Plan (NAP) on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) with a focus on women’s meaningful participation in decision making on recovery and reconstruction. The discussion highlighted the specific needs of women and girls and the tools that stakeholders can rely on. The event highlighted the leadership, agency and voice of women, disabled, veteran, lesbian and young women, and explore how they can shape an inclusive recovery that embeds values of human capital resilience, diversity and equality of opportunity. The importance of the private sector in promoting gender-equitable, inclusive and sustainable recovery, with human capital development at its center, was particularly emphasized.

From June 12 to 15, 2023, meetings of the COST CA19122 EUGAIN working groups and the 2nd International EUGAIN Summer Training School were held in Rome (Italy) at the Sapienza Università di Roma: Research Recharge, where the employees of the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department: Professor Oleksandra Yeremenko and Associate Professor Amal Mersni took an active part.
The COST CA19122 EUGAIN Working Group Meetings, held on June 12-13, 2023, provided a platform for leading experts, researchers and professionals to address critical issues and explore opportunities related to the European Network for Gender Balance in Informatics (EUGAIN). The event took place at the famous University of Rome La Sapienza, in particular, at the Department of Informatics, Automation and Management (Dipartimento di Ingegneria informatica, automatica e gestionale – DIAG). Representatives of the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department took an active part in this two-day meeting, sharing valuable ideas and facilitating the establishment of cooperation within the framework of the second working group – WG2: From Bachelor/Master Studies to Ph.D., whose main goals are to update and develop a set of measures to promote the education of more female students in graduate school.

Sustainability Recovery Guidance is ASDE’s largest educational project aimed at supporting business and economic development of the country’s post-war recovery based on the principles of sustainable development. The subject of Diversity & Inclusion is leading in all canons of sustainable development. Americans and Europeans are fighting for women’s rights and their equality in society and the business environment. This webinar considered the question of whether this problem exists in Ukraine and in the world for Ukrainian women. Ukrainian women leaders of various industries took part in the discussion.

The partnership of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of NURE with Umm Al-Qura University (Saudi Arabia), initiated as part of DAAD projects and the joint Ukraine-Germany project MESU-BMBF 2019-2021 “3D-Model – Implementation of rapid prototyping to design and model” received further development the upper respiratory tract in normal and typical pathologies”.
The result of scientific research in the field of rhinology was joint high-level international publications and a priority application for the first international patent of the BMI department. Currently, a confirmation of joint efforts and further partnership, in particular, to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, has been received from the department’s stakeholder Saleh Alofi Bander Ali, who is the founder of Development Visions Company for research and studies LLC.
