Tech Edu UP – is a project aimed at improving the quality of education in IT specialties of higher education institutions and colleges in Kharkiv.
The project will be useful for students, teachers and representatives of the administration of the IHE Kharkov, on the basis of which the training of IT specialists, managers and owners of IT companies is conducted. As part of the project, members of the Kharkiv IT Cluster and representatives of universities and colleges jointly update work programs, conduct courses together, create joint research areas and much more to improve the level of IT education in Kharkiv.
Task for the project:
- create a platform for interaction between IT companies in the region and higher education institutions of Kharkiv, on the basis of which IT specialists are trained;
- increase the number of students studying in IT specialties in higher education institutions of Kharkiv;
- to promote the harmonization of curricula and work programs of disciplines taught in IT-specialties of higher education institutions of Kharkiv, with the current requirements of the IT-industry;
- to promote the introduction of an object-oriented approach to teaching;
- educational and research laboratories and classrooms;
- to saturate the market of the IT industry of the region with highly qualified young people.
Participation in the project gives the universities of our city the opportunity to:
- improve the quality of education in IT specialties and ensure that students receive relevant knowledge that will be really useful in further professional activities;
- IT companies – key stakeholders and employers of the IT industry in the region;
- update the materials of educational and work programs together with the best IT specialists of Kharkiv IT Cluster;
- receive reviews and certificates of compliance of educational and work programs current requirements of the IT industry from Kharkiv IT Cluster and stakeholder companies;
- to improve the skills and update the knowledge of teachers of specialized departments (together with the Prof2IT project);
- entrants in IT specialties, to join joint educational projects conducted by Kharkiv IT Cluster.
