January 21, 2020 Kharkiv Regional Branch of the Social Protection Fund for Disabled Persons on the basis of the short-lived institution “Kharkiv Special Educational and Educational Complex named after V.G.  Korolenko” held an event. During the event the solemn presentation of certificates to students who started their studies with the support of the Fund took place.

Among them there are 5 students of our University with special educational needs .

On December 16, a delegation of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, headed by Rector Valerii Semenets, participated in parliamentary hearings on “Building an effective system of intellectual property protection in Ukraine”.
The purpose of the parliamentary hearings is to hold an open dialogue between public authorities, experts and experts in the field of intellectual property in order to develop a common position on ways to improve the system of legislation of Ukraine.
The NURE delegation presented its recommendations on the promotion of intellectual property protection and support for patenting inventions and utility models in higher education institutions, and participated in the discussion of the draft National Strategy for the Development of Intellectual Property in Ukraine for 2020-2025.

 In particular, Rector V. V. Semenets proposed the creation of conditions for the development of a system of legal, organizational and financial support for innovations to enhance patenting, and, as a specific tool, funds to support inventions with the involvement of the State to finance a patent application at any stage of consideration.

We sincerely congratulate Professor of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering named after V.V. Popovsky  Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Eremenko Alexandra with the victory in the XXI Regional Competition “Kharkiv Higher School – Best Names”, in nomination “Young Scientist”.

The ceremony of awarding the winners and graduates of this competition was held on December 13, 2019 at the Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin.  The competition started in 1998/99, with over one thousand teachers in higher education institutions becoming laureates and diplomats for 20 years.  In 2019, 182 scientific and pedagogical staff from 31 institutions of higher education in 9 nominations took part in the 21st Regional Competition “Kharkiv Higher School – Best Names”.

On December 12, the assembly hall of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics hosted a reporting and election conference of the primary Trade Union organization, during which members heard a report from the Union Chairman Andriy Frolov on the results of work and re-elected the leadership, members of commissions, as well as delegates to the Kharkiv regional organization of Trade Unions of education and Science Workers of Ukraine.

As a part of the Global Action “16 Days Against Violence”, in order to raise awareness on the prevention and combating all forms of violence CGE NURE in October-November 2019 held a creative competition to create visual materials according to the action plans for the International Action “16 Days Against Gender”  violence.” From November 25 to December 10, an annual flash mob was held with the participation of students, graduate students, and staff – volunteers of the CGE NURE “Youth NURE says violence” NO! ”  CGE KNURE: “The right to a place in history” and “The right to family relations without domestic violence”.  A series of meetings of the Gender Film Club “Humanity Against Gender Violence”, “The Right to Choose a Style and Lifestyle”, “Women and War” were also held.  An annual action of students-volunteers NURE “Do not remain indifferent, tell AIDS and DRUGS – NO!”.

On November 29, 2019, a meeting of the trade union committee was held to discuss the solidarity action of Ukrainian trade unions in Kyiv and Kharkiv.

On November 14, 2019, activists of Ukrainian trade unions and territorial trade unions, representatives of labor collectives, trade union workers, went to a rally in Kyiv with demands for the draft State Budget 2020 and in support of the trade union draft Labor Code.

On December 3, 2019, the Center of Gender Education of NURE on the basis of the Science Park “Synergy” at the initiative of the Department of Science and Education of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration held an information event as part of the International Action “16 Days Against Violence”.

The event was attended by representatives of the Gender Centers of Higher Education Institutions, the Patrol Police Department of the State Unitary Enterprise of the National Police in Kharkiv Oblast, the Kharkiv Women’s Sphere NGO, the Caritas Charitable Foundation, group curators and KNURE students.  During the event, the participants got acquainted with the implementation of the project “Through Equality and Understanding to Defense and Security”, the experience of institutionalizing gender equality in universities of the security and defense sector, the latest trends in preventing and combating domestic violence and human trafficking.

On the occasion of International Cybersecurity Day on November 29 at the ICE department named after V.V.  Popovsky, together with Cisco Academy, a joint review of the online webinar of Oleg Starodubov, a company engineer, Cisco Talos Incident Response: “Responding to information security incidents.  Threat Hunting Experience”.

During the webinar, students were introduced to the problems of disparity in information security systems, incident response, and automation of the response process using the Cisco Talos Incident Response Team methodology and technology.  After the webinar, students were invited to take the test and to receive the appropriate certificates from Cisco Academy.

On December 10, the international community celebrates Human Rights Day. It was on this day in 1948 that the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the first universal international human rights instrument.

 The provisions of the Declaration have become the legal basis for the standards adopted by the Council of Europe and for the improvement of national legal systems that guarantee strict and consistent respect for human rights.

Foreign students of the Department of Biomedical Engineering have visited the “Synevo laboratory” in the framework of course «Introduction to BME speciality» (lector Prof. K.M. Muzyka), where they got acquainted with the work of biochemical analytical equipment from the best world manufacturers, such as Roche Diagnostics (Switzerland), Sysmex (Japan), Bio-Rad (USA), Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics (USA ) and etc.

For the ninth year, a joint project on distance learning is being implemented at the Municipal Institution “Novodolazhskaya Sanatorium School” of the Kharkiv Regional Council.  This project was created for schoolchildren from orphanages and children deprived of parental care, with organizational and financial support from «AHMAD TEA – LONDON».  Today, distance learning courses are taught in high school in two subjects: Ukrainian language and mathematics.  Starting in the 2019/2020 academic year, distance learning courses have been introduced for intermediate level schoolchildren: English in grades 5 and 6 and computer science for schoolchildren in grades 6 and 7.  Distance learning courses are provided free of charge to all children regardless of their social status.

Distance learning technology involves classroom instruction (1 hour per week due to hours of the variable component of the curriculum for the 2019/2020 academic year) and independent tutor work (at least 4 hours per week).
