27.12.2024

As part of the fifth wave of the Book Invasion charity and educational campaign, initiated by the Information Resistance group of the Dmytro Tymchuk Ukrainian Security Studies Centre https://sprotyv.info/ in cooperation with the National Military History Museum of Ukraine, NURE Research Library collection was replenished with modern Ukrainian-language publications.

The books are for all tastes and preferences: modern literature of various genres, translations of foreign authors, Ukrainian classics – prose and poetry, popular science literature, books about the war experience, and works by veterans and volunteers.
“The Book Invasion” is a project launched in 2015 by the Kharkiv team of the Information Resistance group. Most books were sent from Kharkiv, and some were sent from Kyiv.
This year, for security reasons (because there were attacks on printing and publishing houses), the process was organised in Kyiv. However, the Kharkiv team and colleagues from Kyiv and Sevastopol are involved.
Books were purchased from 28 publishing houses, including 12 from Kharkiv. Of the 101 books in the standard set, 44 are products of Kharkiv publishers.
More than 80% of the books in the set were printed in Kharkiv, as the city is home to the largest printing houses that work throughout Ukraine.
Cooperation with NGOs contributes to the achievement of the 17th SDG – Partnerships for the goals.
