26.10.2020

Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics co-organized a scientific-practical conference with international participation “Medical-psychological and informational aspects of human rehabilitation and habilitation”, which took place online at the State Institution “Scientific-Practical Medical Rehabilitation and Diagnostic Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”, city of Kostiantynivka https://www.rdc.org.ua/. The scientific event was attended by representatives of government, research institutions, medical and educational institutions.

The medical and psychological aspect of the rehabilitation of people affected by the information impact is very important, as the negative processes in society have affected the mental and physical condition of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians from different regions of the country.Migrants and residents of those areas of Donbass where military clashes do not end are particularly prone to traumatic factors, but experience shows that residents of other regions of the country are also no less negatively affected, but are less likely to be treated and rehabilitated. This is because in this category of people the mechanisms of adaptation do not work, and the effects of stress become chronic.
In the modern history of Ukraine, the situation of the Joint Forces (JF) operation has no analogues, so there is no practical experience in providing medical and psychological assistance in such cases, in connection with which the development of medical and psychological rehabilitation is an urgent need today.
19 reports were presented by the University at the conference, with the active participation of young scientists – students, graduate students and teachers.
The vast majority of studies concern the maladaptation of personality, long-term and pronounced changes in the psyche of the individual, the study of somatic and mental disorders of the population in the zone of armed conflict, the dynamics of these reactions for further timely correction.

Online laboratories started working at the MTS department
Online laboratories started working at the MTS department

12.10.2020

From the beginning of the autumn semester of 2020-2021 academic year, the MTS department has two laboratories with support for remote access to equipment (online laboratory), where students can create a project in real time and test its viability outside the laboratory. Laboratory classes are conducted using the Moodle platform (dl.nure.ua), video conferencing in Google Hangouts Meet and remote access to PCs and laboratory layouts.

Students and faculty use the remote TeamViewer software package to remotely access PCs in labs. Adjustment of laboratory equipment and support during laboratory work is carried out by teaching and support staff of the department.
The latest equipment is used for laboratory work, which has the ability to connect to a PC. Laboratory models and oscilloscopes are fully controlled by a personal computer. And with the help of the camera the work of the laboratory model is broadcast on the monitor. This allows you to remotely upload projects to lab layouts and view their results on a computer monitor using specialized software.
This approach to conducting laboratory work on models of device design on microcontrollers allows students to acquire skills in working with hardware, practical skills in programming microcontrollers and provides students with additional skills of remote work with hardware.

Inclusive education for training and rehabilitation of persons with special educational needs
Inclusive education for training and rehabilitation of persons with special educational needs

12.10.2020

In the process of distance learning, the possibility of delivery of various e-learning materials and ensuring constant communication between teachers and students in the mode of video conferencing comes to the fore. Distance learning should allow students to perceive information at different rates, based on the individual capabilities of each. One of the important features of distance education is the ability to teach students with disabilities. This training will be especially effective in the early stages of rehabilitation, as the student can feel like a full participant in the learning process. This feeling is reproduced through a virtual presence in the classroom with your academic group. This effect can be achieved by using panoramic video recording with the effect of presence. This uses special equipment, such as cameras with a spatial coverage of 360º and high resolution (at least 4K), which provides the ability to dynamically enlarge images without significant loss of quality and the effect of rasterization.

The advantages of using new educational technologies and tools are ease of implementation, originality of tests and flexible adaptation to different ages of a person or child with special educational needs, adaptation to various high-definition digital devices, ergonomics of wireless pen or stylus, use as an interactive simulator for pupils of specialized correctional educational institutions.
