NURE Media Center together with Kharkiv IT Cluster launched a multi-format project “Path to IT”.

“Path to IT” is a platform where the IT industry will be discussed: all aspects of life will be considered from different angles. and IT culture. In the articles of the student online magazine I-NURE and the broadcasts of the student television NURE TV IT companies will tell a lot of new and interesting things to make it easier to navigate in this area. The project is aimed at applicants and students who want to learn more about the specifics of working in IT, so as not to make mistakes in choosing a future profession. IT people are often said to be a special caste of people with their own language, manner of communication and culture of relationships. This project will help answer the following questions:

On April 30, 2021, the final exam was held in the group of cadets of the Center for Postgraduate Education KNURE, who attended the course “Radiation protection and safety when using ionizing radiation in medicine” “Radiation Protection and Safety in Medical Uses of Ionizing Radiation” (6 ECTS credits). The course lecturer was the head of the Central Laboratory for Radiation Safety and Dosimetry of irradiation of the Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology. S.P. Grigorieva National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Ph.D., Assoc. department BMI Stadnik L.L. The group included 2 students from Ukraine, 8 foreign students and two teachers of KNURE, they listened to 22 lectures in English, having got acquainted with the international standards of the ICRP, monitoring and activities of the WHO and the IAEA in the field of radiation safety of medical technologies. The acquired new knowledge in the future can be successfully used in professional activities and teaching and scientific work. It is planned to train the second group of the CPE on this topical topic.

Such events significantly contribute to achievement of university sustainable development.

On 29 May 2021, students of the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department, Anastasiia Kruglova, Anna Zhuravlyova, Maria Mytsyk took part in the 15th Regional Scientific Competition for Young Scientists “Gender politics in the eyes of Ukrainian youth” with a research paper on “Analysis of the current status of gender balance in information and communication technologies and STEM-education in Ukraine and the EU” in the nomination “Girls STEM – new energy”.

The aim of the Competition is to promote complex implementation of gender equality and non-discrimination in education and to identify ways to guide the development of education towards a systematic gender mainstreaming approach that ensures its compliance with European democratic principles; to strengthen the institutional mechanism for promoting gender equality; to spread best practices of the Gender Centre Network of Higher Education Institutions. The main issues that have been proposed for scientific and practical analysis are:

On April 28, 2021, employees of the Special Training and Rehabilitation Department for students with special educational needs at the invitation of the National Assembly of People with Disabilities of Ukraine took part in a training for representatives of non-governmental organizations on the European Social Charter and its use in Ukraine. The training was conducted within the framework of the Council of Europe Project: “Development of Social Human Rights as a Key Factor of Sustainable Democracy in Ukraine”.

In order to teach students the basics of cybersecurity, countering cyberattacks on the information and communication system, testing methods of building protection systems against intruders to the department with the financial assistance of sponsors, devices were purchased and deployed a complex of cybersecurity.

The complex was developed by students majoring in 125 Cybersecurity Fedorov Ilya (group КБІКС-19-1) and Lysko Victor (group БІКСм-20-1).

April 22, 2021 marks the 10th anniversary of International Girls’ Day in ICT, which aims to inspire a global movement to increase the representation of girls and women in technology and their equal access to opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has identified the 2021 theme as “Girls’ Union for a Bright Future”. After all, in recent years, the under-representation of women in the STEM field has attracted considerable attention from the public, academia and politics.

20 квітня у Харківському національному університеті радіоелектроніки в умовах карантинних обмежень, в режимі онлайн, відбулась 43-я звітна конференція Первинної профспілкової організації, в ході якої члени заслухали від голови профспілки Андрія Фролова звітну доповідь про результати роботи профкому за період з 13 грудня 2019 року по 20 квітня 2021 року.

On April 19, on the basis of the State Institution “Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology named after S.P. Grigoriev of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”, a seminar was held with the participation of KNURE specialists, dedicated to the introduction of web services in the scientific and clinical activities of academic medical institutions and the improvement of the work of their scientific libraries.

The meeting was attended by leading specialists of the Institute of Medical Radiology and the Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology named after V.I. Sitenko, providing organizational, methodological and informational support for the activities of these institutions. The seminar was conducted by the Deputy Director of the Scientific Library of KNURE L.G. Vlaschenko and Assoc. Caf. BME L.A. Averyanova. Colleagues-doctors got acquainted with the possibilities of modern electronic services in librarianship, features of the implementation of an electronic archive and the use of systems for checking scientific works for plagiarism. An agreement was reached to attract specialists of the Scientific Library KNURE to create open electronic archives at these two institutes on the DSpace platform. In the future, it is planned to create such electronic archives in all institutes of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, located in Kharkov. This will improve access to the scientific heritage of these institutions on the Internet and will help improve their ratings.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of UkrNIIprosthetics on April 15, 2021, a scientific and practical conference “Rehabilitation and Prosthetics / Orthotics of the 21st Century. Problems, prospects and international standards for the restoration of physical activity ” https://protez.eu/konf2021/.

The results of long-term cooperation of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and Ukrainian Research Institute of Prosthetics, Prosthetics and Rehabilitation in the Region medical and technical problems of rehabilitation and social adaptation of persons with disabilities have become new educational programs, international projects, scientific publications. These common achievements received the highest award – the State Prize of Ukraine in the field education for the work “Integrated information and educational environment and rehabilitation measures to ensure equal access to quality education of persons with special educational needs ”.

Thanks to the fruitful interaction with the branches of the department BME, in particular with the Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology the practical training of our students in the field of radiation oncology continues. Group BIBMI-18-1 conducted laboratory work on the discipline “Radiation therapy systems” in the Department of Radiation Oncology. In the course of the work, the principles and features of operation were studied gamma therapy apparatus, linear electron accelerator, radiation control system . Such training allows you to get acquainted, in fact, in real conditions with the peculiarities of work engineering specialists in medical institutions, and the level of proficiency in computer technology allows our future specialists to perform complex practical tasks.

In the Department of Radiation Oncology of the Institute of Medical Radiology and Oncology named after V.I. S.P. Grigoriev National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, experimental studies of semiconductor and thermoluminescent detectors of ionizing radiation were carried out using a 6 MeV bremsstrahlung beam of a therapeutic linear electron accelerator VARIAN Clinac 600C. Experiments were carried out by prof. RKhBZ NTU “KhPI” I. Chernyavsky, Assoc. Caf. BME L. Averyanova, graduates of the postgraduate course of the department. BME I. Samofalov and A.Макиенко.

The results of experiments on modern equipment installed at the Institute of Medical Radiology with the direct participation of specialists of the department will be used in the educational process.
