The memorandum was signed on June 14 at the Yermilov Center for Contemporary Art.
On the occasion of the International Day for Archives, an open discussion was held on the topic
“Problems of Formation and Preservation of Ukrainian Historical Memory in the Time of War:
Regional Dimension”.
The speakers discussed topical issues of archival, library, and museum affairs. These included research and protection of urban cultural heritage during the Russian-Ukrainian war; consolidation of digital resources to preserve the national cultural heritage; Ukrainian historical
and cultural heritage: formation, preservation, use in war conditions, etc.
Igor Ruban, Acting Rector of NURE, took part in the open discussion. During the meeting, he presented his ideas and plans for the modernization and development of the university’s archives. He noted that the proper organization and preservation of documentary heritage is extremely important to ensure access to historical sources and research. A Memorandum of Cooperation was also signed between the Central State Scientific and Technical Archive of Ukraine and Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, which will be the beginning of fruitful cooperation between our institutions in the field of archival digitalization.
