THE Impact Rankings 2023 – Masterclass Series06.06.2023
Biomedical Engineering Department staff joined the webinar THE Impact Rankings 2023 as part of a series of masterclasses organised by Times Higher Education on the results of the new edition Impact rankings. Duncan Ross, Chief Data Officer at THE, told which SDGs universities represent, which SDGs they contribute to the most, which SDGs is the goal with most publications, and what universities can do to achieve the SDGs.
The largest number of publications in Scopus for the period 2016-2020 relates to SDG 3 – Good health and well-being.
Health and well-being are fundamental human rights and key indicators of sustainable development. The results of SDG 3 are the best for NURE, and BME Department makes a significant contribution to the achievement of SDG 3:
– thanks to the research of the department’s scientists, the results of which are published in highly cited journals;
– graduates of the master’s programme for training orthotists and prosthetists;
– active participation in outreach programmes, volunteering, community relations and reporting on progress on SDG 3.
To improve NURE’s position in the SDG 3 Impact rankings, proposed to actively engage young people and excluded groups – including refugees – in decision making, work intersectionality across communities and SDGs and strengthen partnerships with stakeholders.
