NURE took part in the exhibition “Innovation in modern education”

On October 12-14, Kyiv hosted the Twelfth International Exhibition “Innovation in Modern Education” and the exhibition of education abroad “World Edu”.  This year, due to the complication of the epidemiological situation in Ukraine, the event was held for the first time in a mixed format (online, remotely, in absentia).  According to the results of the exhibition, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics was awarded a diploma “For the presentation of achievements and implementation of innovations in the educational process.”

On October 16, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics celebrated a significant date – the 90th anniversary of its founding. The staff of the state research and production enterprise “Kommunar Association”, led by the General Director Anatoliy Yaremenko and Georgy Vasilevich, the head of the metering unit №10, joined the celebration and personally congratulated NURE on the anniversary.

On October 17, the Open Championship of the Kharkiv region in classical bench press among all age groups took place.  Students of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, consisting of: Oleksandr Narvatov, Igor Lukienko, Rustam Fabrovan, Ivan Hrytsenko, Maria Mazel and Victoria Akhremenko, took part in bench press competitions among juniors.

Celebrations on the occasion of the 90th Anniversary of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics took place on October 16.

Rector Valerii Semenets congratulated NURE on its anniversary: “Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics has come a long and glorious way from the Civil Engineering Institute to a modern, powerful research center whose quality of education is highly valued and recognized in many countries and despite ever-increasing competition it confidently holds the first place”,

On October 16, the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics hosted a solemn meeting of the Academic Council dedicated to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of NURE. During the event, the participants were greeted by the Rector of the University of Radio Electronics Valerii Semenets, he told about the main achievements of the university during 2019/2020.  Lyudmyla Tikhonenko, the head of the NURE History Museum, also gave a report on the development of the university from a civil engineering institute to a powerful, modern higher education institution that trains unique specialists in the IT field.

The final of the BubbleCup International Programming Championship, organized by Microsoft, took place on October 4 in Belgrade, Serbia.  The team of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics “Energy is not over” consisting of Andriy Shanin (gr. IPZm-19-1), Igor Barenblat (gr. PZPIz-20-1) and Matviy Aslandukov (gr. Shim-20-2), led by associate professor of Software Engineering Department Oleksandr Vechur, improved their last year’s result, overtook the best teams of Ukraine and Russia and got into the top three.

On October 15, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics hosted an online meeting with representatives of the World Youth Association of Uzbekistan, including Rakhmatjon Umarov, Chairman of the Association, Dilfuza Yuliyeva, Deputy Head of the Association, Humojunmirzo Akhukhzanov, Head of the Migration Department of Ukraine, and Shahboz Madraimov, a representative of the association in Ukraine. The meeting was chaired by the First Vice-Rector Igor Ruban.

The first GL SmartCity Hackathon students’ online marathon took place in early October. A team of students from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, consisting of Stanislav Kholodov, Anastasia Koidan and Alexander Vasilyev, won the marathon with the project “Pedestrian Crossing, which signals the presence of pedestrians and cars.”
