Scientific School of Medical Instrument Making and Medical Microprocessor Systems


The BMI department scientific school of medical instrument making and medical microprocessor systems was founded in 1990s.

In 1997, Prof. V. Semenets founded in department of biomedical electronic devices and systems research group for development of biomedical equipment and multifunctional microprocessor systems, which for next 20 years has grown into a scientific school of microprocessor medical systems. It successfully functions today with the scientists of Kharkov National Medical University, Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy, Institute of Medical Radiology. S.P. Grigoriev, Institute of Prosthetics, Institute of Multiphase Processes, Hannover University V. Leibniz (Germany), Harbin University of Engineering (PRC), Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital and other institutions. Under the guidance of Prof. V. Semenets in 2004-2005, multifunctional laboratory stands were created, including microcontrollers, signal processors, programmable integrated circuits, on the basis of which various autonomous control systems are developed, in particular, for use in medical equipment. The complex is used not only in KNURE, but also in many universities of Ukraine.

Scientific School of Bionic Intelligence


The main research field presents oneself the foundation of new a generation of computer equipment, that mathematical describes the patents of nature, the development of brain-like-computers, whose performance significantly exceed the performance of current computer systems.

The school of bionic intelligence was founded in 1963 by DScTech. Yuryj Petrovič Šabanovym-Kušnarenkom, Ukrainian distinguished person of technical sciences. From 1984 it prospered and developed under leadership of Prof. DScTech. Michail Fedorovič Bondarenko, rector of the Kharkov National University’s, Ukrainian distinguished person of technical sciences, correspondent of the Ukrainian National Academy of Science, president of the academy of radio electronic science.

Scientific School of Applied Electrodynamics


The school works on researches concerning the wide complex of problems connected with theory and technology of antennas and diffusion of radio waves: statistic theory of antennas, adaptation of antenna arrays, streamlined antenna covers, antenna measurement, nonlinear element antennas, diagnostics of phased arrayed antennas, tropospheric and ionospheric horizon propagation radar, the Earth influence on the radar light of sight.

Was founded at the end of the 1950s at the military engineering Anti-Warcraft-Warefare-Academy of radio electronics, named L.A. Govorova. In the Kharkov National University of Radioelectronics, the  school was continued under leadership of Prof. DScTech. Yakov Solomonovič Šifrinyj, President of the national association “Antenny”, Ukarinian distinguished person of technical sciences and prize-winner of the A.C. Popova-Prize ofSoviet Union.

Scientific School of Radiofrequency and Infrared Diagnostics of Materials, Environments and Objects


The main research field presents oneself the foundation of new methods and technical facilities for physical and technical diagnostics of functional material in different industries, including agribusiness and biotechnology.

The school was founded in 1970 by Prof. Dmath. Yuri Emelyanovič Gordienko, academic of the academy of applied radio electronic science, Ukrainian distuinguished person of technical sciences.

Scientific School of Intelligent Processing of Information


The school was founded 1975 by DScTech. O.G. Rudenko. The scientists first developed theories and methods of designing specialized computers for rapid processing of large data arrays, based on a neural network approach, spline-fitting and functional recovery, which provides an opportunity to create new a generation of computer structures.

The developed methods synthesizing digital computer means of a new generation, allow you to convert a wide range of high productivity, a maximum speed of processing large streams of information in robotics, as well as in systems of manned aircraft of visual environment simulators of the Spaceman Training Center, named Yuri Gagarin, as in the systems of operational processing of satellite images and videos and environmental hazardous situations in the IT-industry.
