On October 10, Baku Expo Center hosted the opening of the XIII Azerbaijan international exhibition “Education” EduExpo, which is considered the largest international exhibition not only in the region but also in the country. The event was attended by representatives of leading domestic and foreign institutions of higher education, educational centers, language courses and consulting companies in the field of education abroad, in particular, 152 educational institutions from 22 countries.

The 4th IFIP Conference on Information Technology in Disaster Risk Reduction (ITDRR-2019) was held in Kyiv on October 9 and 10, 2019. The conference is organized with the support of the International Federation of Information Processing IFIP. Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics acted as co-organizer.

On October 4, at the Department of Design and Operation of Electronic Devices of the Kharkiv national University of Radio Electronics, a meeting of the representative of SAS (LLC “Automation systems Service”) Andrey Gumennyi with students and teachers took place. During the event, the guest spoke about cybersecurity and the security of process control systems, and gave examples, on the basis of industrial controller and hazardous fungus to ensure the safety of people in case of an accident at work or the escalator.

Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics Professor Oleg Avrunin took part in the meeting of the Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine on engineering. During the work, the issues of state certification of higher education institutions and relevant indicators of the quality of training of applicants, as well as changes in the system of financing of higher education were discussed. The strategic goals of Higher education in Ukraine for the next five years, in particular the introduction of specific opportunities for autonomy of universities, are highlighted.

On October 5, 2019 the delegation of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics visited the official inauguration of the academic year at the WSJ University in Bydgoszcz (Poland), which is a long-term European partner of the University of Radio Electronics in Erasmus projects, double diplomas, summer and winter schools for students.
