The final of the BubbleCup International Programming Championship, organized by Microsoft, took place on October 4 in Belgrade, Serbia.  The team of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics “Energy is not over” consisting of Andriy Shanin (gr. IPZm-19-1), Igor Barenblat (gr. PZPIz-20-1) and Matviy Aslandukov (gr. Shim-20-2), led by associate professor of Software Engineering Department Oleksandr Vechur, improved their last year’s result, overtook the best teams of Ukraine and Russia and got into the top three.

On October 15, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics hosted an online meeting with representatives of the World Youth Association of Uzbekistan, including Rakhmatjon Umarov, Chairman of the Association, Dilfuza Yuliyeva, Deputy Head of the Association, Humojunmirzo Akhukhzanov, Head of the Migration Department of Ukraine, and Shahboz Madraimov, a representative of the association in Ukraine. The meeting was chaired by the First Vice-Rector Igor Ruban.

The first GL SmartCity Hackathon students’ online marathon took place in early October. A team of students from Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, consisting of Stanislav Kholodov, Anastasia Koidan and Alexander Vasilyev, won the marathon with the project “Pedestrian Crossing, which signals the presence of pedestrians and cars.”

On October 13, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics hosted the fourth training on project applications in the field of Erasmus + Jean Monnet.  The training, due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation caused by the spread of COVID-19, was conducted online.

Due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in Ukraine caused by the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID 19) and taking into account the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics from October 15 to November 15 switches to distance learning.

On October 10, on the basis of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, the V-th city tournament of young computer scientists for pupils of 9-11th grades of secondary schools of Kharkiv took place.  In total, 12 teams registered to participate in the tournament.

On September 26, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Programming Olympiad 2020 took place.  Kharkiv National University team KhNURE_Energy is not over consisting of Matviy Aslandukov, Andriy Shanin and Igor Barenblat won the first place.

Admission to the ACSYON double degree program with the University of Limoges, France continues.  Students with a bachelor’s and master’s degree who have completed the first year of master’s degree can take part. It is possible to receive scholarships to study in France, provided that students register and listen to the first semester online, and in the second semester, in the spring, will be able to go to France and continue their studies under a double degree program.

On October 2-6, the Championship of Ukraine in arm wrestling took place in Primorsk (Ukraine).  The strongest athletes from different cities took part in the competition, including students of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics Vladislav Lutskov and Oleksandr Bilovol, who repeatedly became champions and prize-winners of Kharkiv region.

On October 7, at the initiative of the Rector of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics Valerii Semenets, the Department of Perspective Development organized and conducted training on Erasmus + projects, as part of a series of events dedicated to the Erasmus + Days in Ukraine.

On October 7, the election of the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine took place.  “During the secret ballot, Academician Anatoliy Zagorodny was elected President of the National Academy of Sciences by a two-thirds vote,” the NAS press service said.
