Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics has created a faculty of cybersecurity, which began operating on February 6, 2026.
The faculty’s core specialty is specialty F5 “Cybersecurity and Information Protection”, which has a history of over 30 years of educational and scientific process at KNURE in various faculties. The newly established faculty of cybersecurity combines all departments, scientific and scientific-pedagogical employees of the university who teach this specialty at KNURE.
The educational programs of specialty F5 “Cybersecurity and Information Protection” are
First level of higher education (bachelor’s degree):
- Security of information and communication systems;
- Cybersecurity management.
Second level of higher education (master’s degree):
- Security of information and communication systems;
- Cybersecurity analytics.
The faculty also provides education in the following specialties:
G5 Electronics, electronic communications, instrumentation and radio engineering according to educational programs
First level of higher education (bachelor’s degree):
- Infocommunication engineering and network security;
- Information and network engineering.
Second level of higher education (master’s degree):
- Telecommunication systems and networks;
- Infocommunication engineering;
- Information and network engineering.
Specialty G6 Information and measurement technologies according to educational programs:
First level of higher education (bachelor’s degree):
- Quality of products, processes and software.
Second level of higher education (master’s degree):
- Quality assurance.
Specialty 126 Information systems and technologies according to the bachelor’s degree educational program “Information systems and technologies”.
The combination of specialties in cybersecurity, network and information technologies provides unique opportunities for students to become specialists of the future.
The faculty has the following departments:
- Department of Information Technology Security (Head of Department Prof. Khalimov G.Z.);
- Department of Infocommunication Engineering named after V.V. Popovsky (Head of Department Prof. Lemeshko O.V.);
- Department of Information and Network Engineering (Head of Department Prof. Moskalets M.V.);
- Department of Information and Measuring Technologies (Prof. Zakharov I.P.).
