The faculty’s departments fruitfully collaborate with world-famous companies: LG Electronics, LG Energy Solution, FESTO, JABIL Circuit, FLEX, Siemens PLM, Autodesk, Phoenix Contact, KAPELOU, National Instruments, Texas Instruments, and Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG. Academic mobility programs and double degree programs are constantly implemented for students at universities in Poland (Wrocław, Łódź), Germany (Cologne) and Sweden (Linköping).
Dean of the Faculty of Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Systems, Prof. Oleksandr FILIPENKO:
“If you know and are interested in such modern digital engineering technologies as:
- SMART HOME and SMART-Factory,
- SMART THINGS, IoT and Industrial IoT,
- 3D-prototyping, ROBOTICS and AVIONICS,
- Cyber-Physical Systems and Embedded Systems,
- Digital Twins, Virtual Factory and Virtual Maintenance,
- Computer Design, Web-technologies and Multimedia
– Then you should come to the ACITS faculty. And if you haven’t heard of them yet, we are also waiting for you at the ACITS faculty and ready to teach you how to automate, digitize, and intellectualize the space around you.
What does an automation system include? There are sensors, a computer or controller, communications and actuators. The departments of the faculty teach how to combine these elements together and build such systems, create algorithms and software for them, use them for various applications – in everyday life and in the office, in the enterprise and transport (including aviation), in multimedia, printing and logistics.
Our friends and partners – world-famous companies will help learn you.
This is:
- Korean LG Electronics and LG Energy Solution;
- German FESTO, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Phoenix Contact, Heidelberg Druckmaschinen AG and KAPELOU;
- American Jabil, FLEX, Global Logic;
- Italian CAMOZZI.
With their assistance, the departments have created modern training laboratories. In these companies, you can undergo professional training and industrial practice.
You can gain modern knowledge not only within the university’s walls, but also from its international partners. The faculty has been implementing a large-scale international academic mobility program for many years, in which more than 50 students from all specialties participate annually. During the semester, students simultaneously study theory at Wrocław University of Technology and undertake practical training at LG Electronics and LG Energy Solutions, both near Wrocław, Poland.
Or you can complete a pre-graduate internship and defend certification works at the enterprises of the American companies Jabil and FLEX.
Students join the international projects GTUA-NAWA, GT-Edu NAWA, ERASMUS+ MOVEX, ERASMUS+ Eco4Smart, ERASMUS+ DEAPEPL, ERASMUS+ EduFlex, ERASMUS+ INSPIRE, which are currently implemented by the departments of the faculty.
Modern technologies are rapidly filling life with intelligent systems, devices and products. And graduates of the Faculty of Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Systems are those who create such technologies.
We are waiting for creative, determined fans of cyber-devices and cyber-systems ready to change the world around us, filling it with the digital technologies of the future.”
