Department of Physics

The department is an educational and scientific structural unit of the university, which carries out educational, methodological, organizational and scientific activities according to the educational programs of the university, training and advanced training of scientific and pedagogical staff, as well as educational work among applicants.

The department teaching the basic course of physics at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education for almost all specialties of NURE.

Creating the basis for a broad theoretical training in physics for higher education students helps to develop analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, allows them to navigate the flow of scientific and technical information, providing them with the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge in the fields of technology in their future specialty. The study of physics forms scientific thinking and can be the basis for further research in science and the development of new technologies.

Scientific directions of the department:

  • thermography and thermal non-destructive control;
  • fractal analysis, methods of processing signals and processes, nonlinear and fractal radiophysics;
  • spectroscopy of thin films;
  • cavitation heat generators.
