Faculty of Electronic and Biomedical Engineering

The ELBE Faculty is organizational educational and scientific structural part of KNURE, which combines 4 departments:

  • Electronic Devices and Appliances;
  • Physical Foundations of Electronic Engineering;
  • Biomedical Engineering;
  • Physical Training and Sports and
  • 6 Research Laboratories.

Faculty of ELBE teaches bachelors and masters in the most important areas of modern electronic equipment.

Bachelor level:

Specialty G22 – Metrology and Information-Measuring Equipment.  Educational program:

  • Engineering of Opto-Information and Laser Systems

Specialty G5 – Micro- and Nanosystem Technology.  Educational program:

  • Micro- and Nanoelectronics;

Specialty G5 – Biomedical Engineering.  Educational program:

  • Biomedical Engineering;

Specialty G6– Electronics.  Educational program:

  • Electronic Devices and Systems.

Master level:

Specialty G22 – Metrology and Information-Measuring Equipment.  Educational programs:

  • Laser and Optoelectronic Engineering
  • Photonics and Optoinformatics

Specialty G5 – Micro- and Nanosystem Technology.  Educational program:

  • Micro- and Nanoelectronic Instruments and Devices

Specialty G5– Biomedical Engineering.  Educational program:

  • Biomedical Engineering

Specialty G6 – Electronics.  Educational program:

  • Electronic Instruments and Devices.

The faculty collaborates with many educational and research institutions, including Stanford University (USA), University of Hannover, Solar Energy Institute (Germany), the universities of China, Spain and Italy.
