Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics has joined the UNITE!

At the initiative of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, UNITE! has invited seven Ukrainian universities to cooperate. They will implement the project “Green Transformation in Ukrainian Universities”, funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.

Project name: “Green Transformation in Ukrainian Universities”.

Project  duration: 1 year (01.01.2023 – 31.12.2023).

Project coordinator: Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

 

Project partners:

  • Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.
  • Lutsk National Technical University.
  • Odesa National Polytechnic University.
  • Khmelnytskyi National University.
  • Lviv Polytechnic National University.
  • National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance.

The main goal of the project is to support the academic community of Ukraine by involving partners in regular activities within the project and to establish permanent cooperation between Ukrainian universities and the Wroclaw Polytechnic, which will contribute to the process of post-war reconstruction of the country, and will also be an important step in its integration into the European Union.

Green standards at Ukrainian universities.

The project has four main objectives:

  1. Development of green standards for Ukrainian universities in the field of education and research in engineering and technical sciences and development of their local version, taking into account the specifics of Ukrainian universities.
  2. Development of a green campus model and implementation of standards in the field of scientific and pedagogical activities and campus functioning.
  3. Implementation of a 2-week course “Green Technologies for the Development of Ukrainian Society”, which will be attended by students of Ukrainian universities, on the one hand, and teachers of universities united in the UNITE! The course will cover issues related to disciplines that will be applicable in the process of reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine’s industry and infrastructure.
  4. Development and implementation of a microcredit system for Ukrainian students in the field of green transformation.
  5. Розробка та впровадження системи мікрокредитів для українських студентів у сфері, пов’язаній із зеленою трансформацією.

Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics is represented by the Dean of Automation and Computerised Technologies Faculty (ACT), Professor Oleksandr Filipenko, Deputy Dean of ACT Faculty, Professor Olena Tokarieva, and Deputy Head of Occupational Health and Safety  Department, Associate Professor Anna Pronyuk.

The project received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange in the amount of 882.446 PLN (187.550 Euro).

Green transformation is an important step towards the formation of a quality higher education system in Ukraine in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
