NURE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF WARICK BECAME THE WINNERS OF THE REWARD INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC PROJECT

30.03.2023

The Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and the University of Warwick (Great Britain) became the winners of the international scientific project REWARD within the framework of the Twinning Initiative of twinning universities of Great Britain and Ukraine.

Research England has teamed up with Universities UK International (UUKi) to support the Twinning Initiative of twinning universities in Great Britain and Ukraine.

The REWARD project is one of 33 projects being discussed in the House of Lords to mark the anniversary of the Twinning initiative – a model of cooperation between institutions that allows universities around the world to really support their Ukrainian colleagues. Total funding for Twinning projects is £5 million from Research England, administered by Universities UK International (UUKi). As part of the REWARD project, scientists from the University of Warwick (UK) and Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (Ukraine) are developing artificial intelligence software that will help doctors understand which patients need immediate treatment for life-threatening wounds that may not be obvious to the naked eye. Modern technology allows users to transfer CT scan data to a computer program that will help medics quickly make decisions about which of the wounded needs immediate help.

Project coordinators from NURE:
