Serhii Tarapov

Head of the Department of Radio Spectroscopy, Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics. O.Ya. Ushikov National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (until 22.03.1994 Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR).
Born 2.09.1954 in Kharkiv. Graduated from Kharkiv. University (1976) and until 1979 worked at Fiz.-te. Institute of Low Temperatures of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR;
Since 1979 – at the Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (since 2004 – head of the department).

• 1993 Senior Researcher;
• 1987 Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, specialty: Radiophysics;
• 2005 Professor;
• 2014 Laureate of the S.Ya. Braude;
• 2015 Corresponding Member of NAS of Ukraine, Department of Physics and Astronomy, specialty: experimental radio physics, metamaterials.

Scientific works relate to experimental radiophysics, metamaterial physics, magnetic radio spectroscopy, magnetophotonics, nanomagnetic physics, solid state physics.
