On 30-31 October 2025, NURE, a partner of the Eastern Ukraine EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub) project, participated in a two-day intensive course on data security and the application of AI for business in the eastern region.
The project aims to increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian real businesses and communities in eastern Ukraine through digital transformation.
During the two days of training, the following issues were discussed:
- Cyber resilience: where to start?
- Artificial intelligence for business efficiency.
- How to work with donors and investors.
- A business community that develops together.
Professor at NURE, President of the Women4Cyber Ukraine Association, Doctor of Technical Sciences, coordinator of Erasmus+ Jean Monnet EUEcoCyberUA and ResCE projects, and Eastern Ukraine EDIH expert, Maryna Yevdokymenko, presented practical cases of using AI to automate marketing, sales, operational processes, and create virtual assistants. Participants learned how to plan a company’s digital development and integrate modern tools into work processes without high costs.
The topic of attracting external funding was also discussed. Marina Yevdokimenko shared advice on where to look for grant or investment resources, how to structure a funding request, and how to prepare for a conversation with a donor so that your idea sounds convincing.
The intensive course became not only a source of knowledge but also a platform for new partnerships. Entrepreneurs from the Kharkiv region had the opportunity to consult with Eastern Ukraine EDIH trainers, discuss joint initiatives, and participate in future educational and consulting programmes that help businesses implement digital innovations.
