The Faculty of Information Radio Technologies and Media Engineering at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics is a place where technology meets innovation, and knowledge becomes an asset for a successful career. We train specialists for whom radio electronics and computer science are not just knowledge, but powerful tools for building high-tech business, high-tech science, high-tech education, high-tech defense, and high-tech Ukraine.

The interdisciplinary educational program «Radio Engineering of Information Security» combines specialty G5 Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation and Radio Engineering and specialty F5 Cybersecurity and Information Protection. The modern digital world is a world of challenges, rapid change, and constant cyber threats. Every signal and every data packet can become a target of attack, and the information systems of the state, business, and critical infrastructure require reliable protection. Students study methods of technical information protection, acquire skills in system vulnerability analysis and security assessment, and master modern technologies for preventing data leakage through radio-electronic, vibroacoustic, and visual-optical channels. Special attention is paid to practical skills: modeling cyberattacks, testing wireless systems, and implementing comprehensive information monitoring and protection systems.
Areas of professional activity and positions available to graduates include Information Security Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, Threat Detection Analyst, Security Systems Designer, Secure Communications Engineer, Penetration Tester / Ethical Hacker, Embedded Security Engineer, Radio Monitoring and Control Engineer, Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer.
Specialty G5 Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation and Radio Engineering, educational program «Multimedia Systems, Technologies and Computer Tools» is aimed at training specialists in the development, implementation, and operation of hardware and software systems and technologies for creating multimedia content. The program provides both theoretical knowledge and practical competencies in computer graphics, animation, digital audio and video signal processing, and the integration of multimedia technologies into modern information and electronic systems.
During their studies, students master hardware and software tools for creating two- and three-dimensional models and animation, technologies for synthesis, recording, processing, and playback of audio and video information, as well as the principles of building multimedia systems for use in the gaming, film, television, and entertainment industries.
Areas of professional activity and positions available to graduates include 3D Artist / Technical Artist, 3D Animator, Technical Animator, VFX Artist, Video Engineer, Technical Facial Animator, Lighting Engineer, Lighting Artist / Technical Artist, Motion Capture Animator, Frontend Designer.
Specialty G5 Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation Engineering, and Radio Engineering, educational program «Information Radio Technologies». Mobile communications, Wi-Fi and 5G, satellite systems, radar, smart devices, the Internet of Things, security systems, navigation, telemetry, and unmanned aerial vehicles – all of these are impossible without specialists in information radio technologies.
The program places primary emphasis on the design and development of ultra-high-frequency (UHF) devices and antennas based on modern component technologies; in-depth study of advanced microprocessor systems; wireless information transmission technologies; and wireless power transfer technologies.

The «Media Engineering» program is designed for those who are interested in modern media and digital technologies; want to combine engineering thinking with creativity; aspire to work with audio, video, and interactive content; and see their future in IT, media, or digital services.

By studying the physical foundations of semiconductor materials and structures; the operating principles of micro- and nanoelectronic devices; technologies for manufacturing integrated circuits and nanoelectronic systems; methods of modeling and analyzing electronic processes; fundamentals of sensor technologies, microelectromechanical (MEMS) and nanoelectromechanical (NEMS) systems; and modern standards and approaches in the electronics industry, students acquire practical skills in Designing micro- and nanoelectronic components, Working with professional CAD/EDA systems for modeling and simulation, Conducting laboratory measurements and experiments, Operating microscopic and measurement equipment, Developing and testing sensor and electronic systems.
