Department of Information Systems and Technologies (IST)

The department currently trains students for specialty F6 “Information systems and technologies”:

– at the first (bachelor’s) level, high-level studies in educational and professional programs

  1. “Intelligent information technologies”;
  2. “Information technologies on the Internet of speeches”;

– at another (master’s) level, to study in the educational and professional program “Architecture design of information systems.”

The faculty of the department is engaged in the training of third-level (lightning-scientific) level students in the following specialties: F6 Information systems and technologies, G5 Telecommunications and radio engineering, F7 Computer engineering.

The department graduates current faculties in information technologies, who have fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the development, integration and storage of intellectual information technologies for unraveling complex specialized tasks from the creation of information systems in production before the start of adaptation.

The scientific activity of the department is focused on the development of theoretical approaches and practical tools for the creation of new generation information systems. The main research is carried out in the field of integration of traditional information technologies with artificial intelligence methods.

Priority areas:

  • Hybrid data warehouses and knowledge engineering (Big Data, Ontologies).
  • Deep learning and adaptive algorithms (Deep Learning, XAI).
  • Architecture of intelligent systems to support decision making.
  • Cold technologies, MLOps and integration of divisional systems.
  • Applications in cyberphysical systems and the Internet of speech.
  • Automated management of knowledge bases to support decision-making in information systems;
  • Research and development of implemented information and communication systems based on modern microcontrollers and programming logical integrated circuits;
  • Methods and technologies for increasing the efficiency and reliability of information systems;
  • Further research into methods for drone-free energy transfer in the optical range.
