From 2001 to the present, the team is headed and trained by the senior teacher of physical education and sports, Krukovsky G.I.
In recent years, KhNURE sambo wrestlers repeatedly became winners and winners of competitions at various levels: University Spartakiad. Kharkov, championships and cups of the Kharkiv region, open and All-Ukrainian tournaments, championships and cups of Ukraine, as well as the final competitions of the XIII Summer Universiade of Ukraine.
The national team of KhNURE in sambo fighting in the team competition occupied:
III place in the Olympics of Kharkov among university students (2010)
III place in the championship of Ukraine among university students (2012)
I place in the Olympics of Kharkov among university students (2013)
I place in the open cup of Kharkiv (2013)

In the sambo section of our university, men and women train, not only experienced athletes, but also beginners, mastering the high art of fighting, strengthening their body and spirit.
