Service Point for Accessible Learning “NURE No Limits” of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics was created according to the order of KHNURE dated 07.03.2024 No. 78 with the aim of improving the system of educational services and management processes on the basis of a special educational and rehabilitation department for supporting students with special educational needs, which was functioning in KhNURE since 2009 in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 587 dated 27.06.2008.
The Service Point for Accessible Learning is designed to provide real and comfortable access to learning opportunities for students with special educational needs, to provide methodological support to teachers and students, to apply advanced technologies of integration, inclusion and health care to promote the independence of each person and their success.
The mission of the Service Point for Accessible Learning is to ensure: real access to study opportunities at the University based on the recognition of the inherent value and dignity of every person in society, regardless of their characteristics; observance of the rights of a person with disabilities and/or chronic diseases, his equal access to higher education opportunities; application of advanced technologies of integration, inclusion and health care, in the promotion of maximum functional independence of each person and his success in life.
The main tasks of the Service Point for Accessible LearningAccessibility Service are:
1.Creation of a comfortable inclusive educational environment of the University by providing the opportunity to exercise educational, social and civil rights to every subject of the educational process, including Students with special needs;
2. Promoting the development of tolerance among the university community, respect for people with disabilities, recognition of the value of each subject of the educational process, creation and implementation of effective measures to increase the level of inclusive culture at the University;
3. Provision of universal design and intelligent adaptation of the educational environment;
4. Evaluation and improvement of material and technical resources of the University for adaptation of educational programs for applicants with special educational needs;
5. Organization of a program of support for applicants with special educational needs, including improving the qualifications of scientific and pedagogical workers for work in the conditions of inclusive education.
6. Monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of implemented measures to implement the accessibility of the educational environment. Development of relevant strategic proposals, regulatory and methodological documentation.
7. Study, generalization and implementation of best practices of professional practical activity in the field of inclusion and inclusive education.
8. Promotion of the University’s activities in the field of inclusion at the local, regional, national and international levels.
