As part of the Festival of Science, a roundtable discussion “Advanced Medical Systems and Information Technologies in Biomedicine” was held in the technical literature hall of the Korolenko Library. The roundtable was dedicated to biomedical engineering development and the use of information technologies in healthcare.
During the event, participants discussed a modern view of the problem of diagnosing and treating nasal breathing disorders, methods of evidence-based diagnosis of respiratory and olfactory disorders, robotic neurosurgical systems, modern radiotherapy technologies, and methods of solving current healthcare problems using modern technologies.
Professor Oleg Avrunin, Head of the BMI Department, moderated the roundtable. The roundtable was attended by lecturers and postgraduate students of NURE, NTU “KhPI”, KhNMU, specialists of the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital, the Volodymyr Zaitsev Institute of General and Emergency Surgery, and regular visitors of the library.
The uniqueness of the event was that medical professionals reported on medical aspects, while technical experts discussed the physical and engineering aspects of the problem.
