On May 10-11, a meeting of the Biomedical Engineering section was held within the framework of the International Radio Electronic Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI Century”.

About 20 abstracts for the Biomedical Engineering section were received from young scientists, students, and postgraduate students of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (Departments of Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and System Engineering), Kharkiv National Medical University, Vasyl Karazin Kharkiv National University, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, and others. The online meeting was attended by about 15 participants, speakers, and listeners.

In his welcoming speech, the chairman of the section, Professor Oleg Avrunin, told about the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals and the main activities that are being carried out at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, in particular, the contribution of the Department to the Sustainable Development Goals 3 – Good Health and Well-Being and 4 – Quality Education.

Presentations were made by first-year students who are making their first steps in science and learning to demonstrate their results, as well as by experienced young scientists. The event was also used to present the results of master’s theses and international research projects.

All reports were interesting and presented at the proper scientific level. We thank the supervisors, students, postgraduates, and young scientists for preparing the reports and participating in the discussion, and the organizers, in particular, the section secretary, Associate Professor Karina Selivanova, and assistant Igor Bonderenko, for holding the event and preparing the forum proceedings.
