To mark World Day of Labor Protection, which is celebrated annually on April 28, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics held a series of events with the participation of representatives of the North-Eastern Interregional Administration of the State Service of Ukraine for Labor.
On April 29, the Department of Safety Engineering (SE) organized an online meeting with higher education students dedicated to modern digital technologies and challenges in the field of occupational safety. The event covered topics such as the automation of production processes, the introduction of robotics, artificial intelligence, and big data processing, as well as the use of exoskeletons, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR) in ensuring safe working conditions. Special attention was paid to research presented by the University’s students under the guidance of faculty members.
On April 30, the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies, Automation, and Robotics (CITAR), in cooperation with representatives of the State Labor Service, held a meeting during which students were told about the main task of the service—promoting the creation of a safe and transparent business environment. Those present had the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information on the advisory, informational, and supervisory activities of the State Labor Service, as well as ask questions to specialists, which contributes to raising awareness among young people about occupational safety issues and shapes a culture of occupational safety already at the stage of education.
