From June 23 to 30 Murad Omarov, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, paid a working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. From June 23 to 26, as part of the Ukrainian delegation headed by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Gennady Chizhikov, he took part in the first joint meeting of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Business Council, during which wуку signed the Agreement on the establishment of the Ukrainian-Azerbaijani Business Council (from the Azerbaijani side: Chairman of the Board of KOBIA Orhan Mammadov; from the Ukrainian side: President of the CCI of Ukraine Gennady Chizhikov) and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Council of Exporters and Investors under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (CEI) and the Export and Investment Promotion Fund ( AZPROMO ) (from the Azerbaijani side: Acting President of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev; from the Ukrainian side: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky).
During the visit, the Vice-Rector also met with Farid Akhmedov, Adviser to the Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, and Mr. Vladislav Kanevsky, Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan.
On June 30, at a meeting with the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Shemakha Mehrali Gasimov, an agreement was reached on assistance in attracting Azerbaijani citizens to study at NURE
Also during his stay in Azerbaijan, Murad Omarov met with representatives of partner universities (Azerbaijan Technical University and the University of Azerbaijan), with whom they discussed further stages of development of double diplomacy cooperation.
