Double diploma program between the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) (Ukraine) and Azerbaijan University (AU) (Azerbaijan).

The program of international academic mobility of applicants for higher education between NURE and AU, according to the educational programs in the specialties “Computer Engineering” and “Computer Science” at the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education.
Fot participation in the double degree program, AU students must score enough points from the exams of the State Examination Center of Azerbaijan and pass the competition in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The process of selecting applicants for higher education to participate in this program is carried out on a competitive basis. The decision to admit students is made by mutual consent of the parties through the exchange of letters or other appropriate method.
Applicants for higher education who wish to exercise their right to academic mobility with the possibility of obtaining a Double Diploma, after the second year of study at the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, must have an average grade of at least 71 points (with a grade of at least 61 points in all subjects), and after the first semester of study at the second (master’s) level of higher education not less than 81 points.
Educational disciplines of educational programs can be taught in Russian or English. Higher education students will be trained in the agreed educational programs at NURE at the faculties of Computer Engineering and Management and Computer Science, as well as at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies AU.
For each of the educational programs in the specialties, graduate departments develop agreed educational programs, curricula and other documents on the organization of the educational process necessary to implement the right of higher education applicants to academic mobility in selected educational programs in accordance with the law. ) or the second (master’s) level wishes to receive the Double diploma.
Applicants for a bachelor’s degree study at AU in the 1st and 2nd years, 3rd and 4th years – in NURE. Applicants for a master’s degree study at AU in the 1st year, and in the 2nd year at NURE.
The full duration of full-time study for a bachelor’s degree is 3 years 10 months (240 ECTS credits); to obtain a master’s degree – 1 year 10 (9) months (120 ECTS credits) for the implementation of educational-professional or educational-scientific program.
If the candidate does not have time for the bachelor’s degree in the first two academic years (1st and 2nd year) at AU, he loses the right to participate in further studies at NURE. If a student does not have time during the last two academic years (3rd and 4th year) in NURE for good reasons, he may be entitled to continue his studies according to the rules set out in NURE.
If the applicant does not have time for the master’s degree during the first academic year, he loses the right to participate in further studies at NURE. If he has not succeeded in the individual curriculum corresponding to the second academic year at NURE for valid reasons, he may be entitled to continue his studies according to the rules set out in NURE.
If a student is unable to succeed during the period allotted to him, he loses the right to receive two documents on higher education with annexes established in higher education institutions (NURE and AU) sample. In this case, the relevant applicants for higher education have the right to continue their studies at AU.
Academic arrears are accounted for in accordance with the rules that exist in each institution of higher education. Credits accumulated by applicants for higher education during the period of study are taken into account when continuing education.
The assessment system will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Bologna Process and in accordance with the provisions on the organization of the educational process in AU and NURE. The results of the final attestation of higher education applicants at the Universities are presented according to the scale adopted at this university, as well as according to the ECTS scale, and are translated into the scale adopted at the University where the higher education applicant is studying. The sum of points on the 100-point scale accepted in NURE, if necessary, is calculated as average in the corresponding range of the translated estimation.
Students enrolled in the program must comply with the rules of procedure of the higher education institution, as well as the requirements of the relevant legislation of the country. Applicants who violate these rules receive penalties in accordance with the rules of procedure of the higher education institution and the current legislation of the country. In such cases, tuition and other expenses paid by the student are not refundable and the student returns to his / her country at his / her own expense. In this case, the applicant may be granted the right to continue their studies at AU.
The annual tuition fee that students will pay for tuition will be determined according to the annual tuition fee for both higher education institutions. Tuition is defined as the tuition fee determined for the first year of study at the relevant higher education institution (in the respective country). The Parties shall prepare and implement mechanisms to coordinate the costs of tuition, accommodation and other expenses. Applicants for higher education enrolled in this program are personally responsible for fulfilling their financial obligations in accordance with the terms of the contract.
NURE and AU appoint coordinators. Coordinators are responsible for providing academic advice to students, developing individual curricula for each academic year and monitoring their implementation. Coordinators control the issues of transport and accommodation, assistance in drawing up the relevant documents, timely arrival of students in higher education. They also monitor the effective use by students of the existing NURE or AU infrastructure during their studies. At the end of each school year, the coordinators report on the work done, student attendance and other activities.
Completion of training at a specific educational level occurs through the certification of the applicant for higher education. The number and personal composition of the members of the examination commission, the order of its work is determined by the current rules and regulations on the organization of the educational process in both Universities. According to the decision of the examination commissions of NURE and AU, the applicant of higher education, who has successfully completed the educational program, is awarded a bachelor’s or master’s degree and issued separate documents on higher education with appendices of the standard established in higher education institutions..
