ACSYON COURSE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LIMOGES (FRANCE) FOR NURE MASTERS IN MATHEMATICS AND APPLIED PROGRAMS

І. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

1.1. The creation of a diploma of international partnership between two institutions at the master’s level in the field of applied mathematics.

1.2. The diploma will be created in the form of a double diploma. It will include 4-semester studies – 120 ECTS credits.

II. ORDER OF ORGANIZATION

2.1. The first year of the program (Master 1) includes:

– disciplines have 24 ECTS credits for the ACSYON Master’s Program in Mathematics and Applied Programs, accredited by the University of Limoges, they are listed below. Disciplines are taught online in English. The ACSYON course schedule is provided by NURE at the beginning of the year. Each discipline represents a volume of work, corresponding to 30 hours of traditional classroom instruction.

– disciplines comprise 36 ECTS credits of the NURE master’s course in applied mathematics, including the disciplines listed below.

2.2. The second year of the program (Master 2):

– The second year of the program is held at the University of Limoges during the first semester in English. The second semester is an internship in a laboratory or company. Internships can take place in France or abroad.

Each university recognizes and approves loans received from the host organization.

ІІІ. STUDENT SELECTION PROCEDURE

3.1. To enter the first year of the program, five (5) students will be selected as a coordinator at NURE – the Head of the International Relations Department Tatiana Tkachova (room 3), who is a curator for the ACSYON course in NURE, together with a lecturer at the University of Limoges, responsible for the ACSYON course.

3.2. Students must take an interview in the Department of International Relations of NURE, room 3 until April 30 or during the year. The level of English should not be lower than B2. Students must have a CV and a motivation letter.

3.3. At the end of the first year, students who have completed the following two conditions have the right to go to the second year studying in the ACSYON course in master’s program in mathematics and applied sciences:

– Received an overall average score that is greater than or equal to 10/20 for the disciplines of the University of Limoges indicated below, and granted 24 ECTS credits issued at the ACSYON rate;

– Received approved 60 ECTS credits in the first year of the curriculum, that is, 24 ECTS credits issued by the University of Limoges, and 36 ECTS credits issued by NURE.

ІV. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE AND TERMS OF PAYMENT FOR REGISTRATION FEE

4.1. Students wishing to participate in the double degree program will be enrolled in the master’s program in mathematics and applied programs of the ACSYON course of the University of Limoges, and the master’s program in applied mathematics of NURE for the entire duration of the program.

4.2. They must pay the following registration fees:

– for the first year of study at NURE;

– for the second year of study at the University of Limoges (national registration fees with exemption from differential fees in the framework of the partnership).

V. INSPECTION AND DISCUSSION OF GRADING

5.1. Students of the first year of master’s studies pass online knowledge control in the form of interactive tests organized by the University of Limoges (exams, various works, oral exams using special technologies) under the same conditions as other students.

5.2. NURE controls online-measures to ensure fairness of the assessment of exam papers. The dates of knowledge testing for each exam are determined by the University of Limoges at the beginning of the year. Verification of the examination papers and their evaluation is carried out by the team of the University of Limoges, responsible for the disciplines, in accordance with the current rules of the University of Limoges.

5.3 At the end of each semester, the University where the student is studying (in the first year of NURE and in the second year at the University of Limoges) discusses and provides or does not provide loans under the double diploma program. The diploma report is signed by the jury members of the University of Limoges who issue the diploma.

5.4. The presentation of the internship in the second year of the master’s program will be organized by the University of Limoges using video conferencing tools with the aim of attracting representatives of NURE (professors and international relations department of NURE) and providing the student with the opportunity to present their work where he/she completed the internship.

VI. ISSUE OF DIPLOMA

6.1. Each institution is responsible for issuing its own diploma:

At the University of Limoges:

– issue of a diploma – no later than 6 months after the announcement of its receipt;

– certificate of successful completion of the course – no later than 3 weeks after the announcement of diplomas at the request of the student.

In NURE:

– the diploma is issued in person or to a proxy no later than 3 weeks after the announcement of its admission.

VII. PRACTICAL FORMS OF WORK

7.1. Disciplines in the first year of study in accordance with the master’s program of the University of Limoges are taught in English using distance learning using digital technology. The University of Limoges implements the distance learning platform and is responsible for the educational process, content and tools for its online distribution (virtual classes). NURE can provide its students with technical tools to enable them to study under this program.

7.2. To accommodate students participating in the double diploma program, universities create comfortable conditions developed by local infrastructures that are consistent with international standards:

– accommodations;

– deposit guarantee;

– availability of a bank account;

– simplification of the procedure for obtaining a residence permit.

7.3. NURE students who entered the second year of the Master’s program at the University of Limoges will have all the rights applicable to foreign students from partner institutions, in particular regarding student housing.
