On September 1, Oleksiy Turuta, Associate Professor of the Department of Software Engineering of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, noted the schoolchildren-winners of the tournament of young mathematicians and Olympiads in computer science, which took place within the framework of the summer intensities from the NURE for students of the Kharkiv Scientific Lyceum-Boarding School “Giftedness”.
The administration of the Lyceum expresses gratitude to the Rector of the University of Radio Electronics Valerii Semenets, the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science Andriy Erokhin, the head of the Department of Software Engineering Zoya Dudar for cooperation in career guidance work with schoolchildren and assistance in organizing summer intensives for schoolchildren of 8-11 classes in mathematics and computer science.

Pupils and their parents are grateful to the teachers of the Department of Software Engineering of NURE: senior lecturer Yuri Novikov, assistants Dmitry Matveev and Ekaterina Zibina, associate professors of PE Alexander Vechur, Natalia RusaKova, as well as students Stanislav Kachanov, Dmytro Rudenko, Anton Gavrashenko, Mihailo Kupriyanov, and Kiril Chernov for organization and holding of intensives and final Olympiads.
Students received memorable gifts from the main sponsor – Snap Inc. There is an official Snap office in Ukraine, which employs over 300 people. The company actively supports the Olympic movement in Ukraine. Yuriy Monastyrshin, a 2014 and 2015 ICPC finalist and senior development director at Snap, believes that computer science and math competitions develop very valuable teamwork skills and skills in solving non-standard tasks.
