The NURE_NRG team became the winner of the KPI-OPEN 2019 Olympiad

From July 2 to 5, at the National Technical University of Ukraine, “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky”, with the support of the Cybernetic Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, took place the XIV International Student Olympiad on programming named after S.O.  Lebedeva and V.M. Glushkov “KPI-OPEN 2019”.
The main goal of the tournament is not only to identify the strongest among its participants but also to give each one the impetus for personal professional growth.

During the years of the Olympiad “KPI-OPEN”, more than 3,800 students from 165 universities from 17 countries took part in it.  Traditionally, the Olympiad was held in two rounds: in the first round, the participants solved eight tasks, and in the second one – 6.

The Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics was represented by three teams: NURE_NRG, CODE_SHREDINGERA and BRAINSTORM, coach of which is the
Associate Professor of the Department of Psychology Oleksandr Vechur, and captains – Matthew Aslandukov, Stanislav Kachanov and Dmitry Rudenko.

According to the results of the competition, the team KhNURE_NRG together with the team of LNU Jackals of the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko won the second place and received diplomas.  In addition, team members were awarded books on the history of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky and prizes from sponsors – “Paversbank” and “Oshchadbank” coins of collector’s silver “Savings Day”.
