The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine approved the first stage of the joint international scientific project with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany “3D-Model. Introduction of rapid prototyping technologies for modeling the upper respiratory tract in normal and in some pathologies”.
This project is based on the long-term experience of scientific partnership between the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Professor Oleg Avrunin and Professor Birgit Glasmacher of the Hanover Institute of Multiphase Processes of the University named after V. Leibniz.
It should be noted that the implementation of this project will allow to study realistic aerodynamic models of the upper respiratory tract and will enable students and young scientists of the Department of BME to take part in summer schools in Germany to get acquainted with modern technologies of biomedical engineering.
