Sustainable Investment Policy

28.06.2024

The ongoing war in Ukraine requires the mobilization of all economic resources to face global challenges and ensure sustainable development. The full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russia and transformation of Kharkiv into frontline city did not cancel the requirements and needs for achieving the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, but it completely changed the concept of sustainability.

Under martial law, the main sustainability focus for Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics is ensuring the educational process in a distance form, saving the lives of employees, evacuation, providing shelter to internally displaced persons, humanitarian aid, assistance to the Armed Forces, building and arranging shelters, switching to alternative energy sources during blackouts, reintegrating veterans, etc. Restoration of the territories affected by russia’s aggression, overcoming the consequences of war disasters and attention to sustainable development are particularly urgent today.

The revision of the ESG investment concept and the adoption Sustainable Investment Policy by the Academic Council show that despite the war, NURE continues to work and overcome new challenges.
