Student of NURE participated in the COST grant program

 Student of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics Dmytro Chernyshov took part in the Big Data School under the COST grant program, to which the university joined in 2018.

According to the COST grant program, CA15110 – Harmonized standardization strategies for increasing the efficiency and competitiveness of European life-science research (CHARME), a student of the System Engineering Department, participated as a representative from Ukraine at the Big Data Learning School for Life Science, which took place March 4th-8th, at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), Athens, Greece.
 In the framework of the event, Dmitry reported on the results of his work on the project “Pneumonia Classification” (head – Professor of the System Engeneering Department Alina Nechiporenko), which is devoted to the processing of medical images using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks for the early diagnosis of pneumonia.
 It should be noted that Dmitry was the only student among all the participants in the school, the rest were graduate students from different countries.
