1963-1968 – Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute named after V.I. Lenin (KhPI) (now the NTU “KhPI”), graduated with honors, Qualification: “Mathematical and Numerically-solving Instruments and Devices,” Electrical Engineer.

1970-1972 – Service in the Armed Forces.

1972-1974 – Engineer of the Department MMDD HIRE.

1974-1977 – Postgraduate student.

1978-1986 – Senior Lecturer at the Department of AM and NS NUUE.

1978 – Candidate of Technical Science (PhD) (in the “Technical Cybernetics and Information Theory”).

1979 – Associate Professor, Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.

1980 – Doctor of Technical Science (in the “Technical Cybernetics and Information Theory”).

1980 – Professor, Department of Applied Mathematics.

1986-2022 – Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics.

Since 1996 Academician of the Ukrainian Oil and Gas Academy.

Since 2006 Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Applied Radio Electronics (AS ARE).

Educational activity

During his work at the Department of Applied Mathematics KNURE made a significant contribution to the development of the specialties “Applied Mathematics”, “System Analysis” and “Informatics”: delivered courses “Algebra and Geometry”, “Discrete Mathematics”, “Numerical Methods” ” Probability theory and mathematical statistics “, ” Mathematical programming “, Stochastic programming “,” Optimal stochastic control “.

Member of Methodical Commission for Applied Mathematics of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.


Researcher activity

Supervisor of over 30 completed and 3 carried out research work.   Head of a series of developed “Information and Analytical Process Control Systems (IASS TP)” for gas supply, electricity supply, water supply and sewage, which have been successfully implemented at enterprises in Ukraine and Russia.

Member of two specialized councils for defense of doctoral theses: D64.052.02 and D64.807.02, as well as chairman of the specialized council for PhD theses K64.052.07.

Member of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the professional direction “Energy and Energy Saving” and the organizing committee of the constantly functioning International Scientific Seminar “Methodological issues of reliability research of large energy systems”, SB RAS.

Thanks to the his scientific supervision, 1 Doctor of Science and 17 PhDs defended their dissertations.


International activity / participation in international projects

2014 – foreign member of the Polish Academy of Sciences – PAS – (branch in Lublin), associate editor of the PAS’s scientific journal ECONTECHMOD.


Social activity

Member of the editorial boards of journals: Scientific Bulletin of the Institute of Economy and New Technologies “New Technologies”; “Eastern-European Journal of Enterprise Technologies”; scientific and technical collection “Problems of Bionics”; International Scientific and Production Journal “Underwater Technologies”.

Participated in the development of the higher education standard in the specialty 113 “Applied Mathematics” for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education.

Author of more than 300 scientific papers, including 14 monographs, more than 250 articles, author and co-author of 55 methodological developments and 25 textbooks, 9 copyright certificates of the USSR and Ukraine.
