08.12.2025

Lecturers from the Department of Biomedical Engineering took part in the citywide educational and sporting event “Sports and Science Fair: Move and Explore”, organised by the Department for Family, Youth and Sport of the Kharkiv City Council.

During the event, representatives of the department conducted demonstrations, advised participants, and helped organise interactive stations to promote science and a healthy lifestyle among young people.

For their active participation, professionalism and contribution to the promotion of science and sport, the Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Professor Oleg Avrunin, and Associate Professor Tetiana Nosova were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Department for Family, Youth and Sport of the Kharkiv City Council.

The participation of lecturers in citywide scientific and educational initiatives helps raise young people’s awareness of modern technologies, the role of science in life and sport, and opportunities for professional development. Such events are fully in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, as they support the development of a sporting culture, raise awareness of modern technologies, and strengthen the partnership between the university and the local community.
