The Dean of the Faculty of ACT Oleksandr FILIPENKO and Associate Professor of the Department of Occupational Health and Safety Hanna PRONIUK took part in the meetings of the working group of representatives of 7 Ukrainian universities as part of the international project Green Transitions in Ukrainian Universities.
The project is funded by the National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA of the Republic of Poland. The events took place at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Wroclaw Tech) (Wroclaw, Poland). The working meetings included a direct discussion of the project objectives – the development of microcredit training courses in the field of green transformation (Renewable Energy; RRR – Reuse, Reduce, Recycle; Smart and Green Transport). Discussion of methods of self-assessment and external peer review of the level of implementation of green solutions by Ukrainian universities in education, science and the learning environment (campus), which meet the provisions of the Green Transitions in Ukrainian Universities standards developed at the previous stage of the international project.
The project and the meeting are aimed at implementing the strategic task of integrating Ukrainian universities into the European academic space of higher education, science and innovation to ensure Ukraine’s sustainable development. Therefore, the activities of the international GTUA project were held in conjunction with the work of the International Forum “VIII Unite! Dialogue” of the European consortium of 9 technical universities UNITE!, which was held these days at the Wroclaw University of Technology. Representatives of 16 technical universities from Europe and Ukraine discussed the expansion of cooperation and integration of university ecosystems to stimulate innovation, efficiency and sustainable development, create a platform for the exchange of ideas and jointly shape quality higher education. Andrii BUTENKO, Head of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, and his deputy Nataliia STUKALO took part in the international project. The National Agency supports European integration processes in the academic community and promotes the implementation of best practices in the national higher education quality assurance system.
