On October 27, with the support of the Department of Science and Education of KRMA, representatives of student self-government bodies of the Kharkiv Hero City universities met with Yulia Hryshyna, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.
The meeting was also attended by Ilya Belyak, Chairman of the Expert Council of Students of Higher Education Institutions. Representatives of the NURE Student Senate Alina Kosenko, Sofia Ivanova and a representative of the Scientific Society of Young Scientists, Assistant Rector for Educational Work Nikita Zdorik took part in the meeting. They discussed the life of student self-government bodies during the martial law regime in the country, the issue of financing academic scholarships and many other issues of concern to young people. Yulia Gryshyna informed the youth about the Cabinet of Ministers’ decree that decided to reallocate state budget expenditures and allocate additional UAH 229 million for scholarships. All the participants were ready for a dialog and received answers to their questions. At the end of the meeting, Yulia Gryshyna presented the students with a book of her own, “Knowledge that Changes the World”.
