There is not enough oil, there is no money for solar panels, but our scientists from NURE have an answer to what to do with it.
We know that fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas are not recovered. For the past 30 years, black gold, which has become the blood of our civilization, is dangerously close to depletion.
Prototype of the solar concentrator The oil crisis of 1973 was the impetus for the development of alternative energy. People are actively looking for ways to get energy without burning hydrocarbons. There are really many alternatives. But one of the most promising areas can be considered solar panels.
Mankind has come up with several dozen types of solar panels, as well as many improved modifications of these panels over the past 30 years. Different configuration of photocells, moving axis with variable tilt angle, infrared light receivers that work even on a cloudy day, the use of modern materials and special nano-spraying. But all this is expensive, long and very difficult in Ukraine. We need a simple, cheap and fast device.
And what could it be?
The answer to this question was found by our university, NURE, or more precisely, Professor of the Department of KITAM Victor Alexandrovich Pismenetsky. Under his leadership, a prototype of a solar concentrator was assembled, which was patented and is currently being finalized and “run in”.
What is a hub?
A prototype solar hub is, in fact, a curved mirror that collects solar radiation into a beam and redirects it to the photocells.
How will he manifest himself in Ukrainian realities?
It fully meets the requirements of our country.We have little sun, but thanks to the hub you can collect every crumb of solar radiation without increasing the area of solar panels.
It’s cheap: you need almost three times less solar cells, which are produced only abroad, to maintain rated power, and in the current currency famine, this is almost the main factor.
It can be assembled easily and quickly: download the mirror curvature calculations and you can weld it yourself from aluminum sheet or tin foil. And connection and soldering will take much longer than the time we spend communicating on social networks.
All this allows us to create our own power plant even in our difficult times and stop depending on utility bills for electricity. Just a couple of hubs and a few photovoltaic cells and now you no longer look at the payments coming in 30 years.
In short, we have something to respond to the impending energy crisis. The main thing is to act quickly, the hour of oil famine is approaching faster and faster.
