In the framework of the project on science popularisation, Professor Oleh Avrunin gave a public lecture at the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (Dnipro). The event’s purpose was to acquaint students, teachers and all interested parties with modern achievements in computer stereo vision, which plays a key role in developing artificial intelligence, robotics and innovative technologies. Olena Khomenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technology of Ceramics, Glass and Building Materials, moderated the meeting. The event was an inspiring example of how science can become accessible to all, and how innovation can be a tool for improving society’s quality of life and development.
Professor Avrunin’s lecture provided the audience with relevant knowledge and inspired young scientists to further research and innovation. In addition, the event highlighted the importance of partnerships, as cooperation between scientists, universities, and the public is a key element in the development of modern society. Professor Avrunin emphasised the need to exchange knowledge and experience between academia and communities to help address global challenges through innovation.
The lecture also emphasised the role of science and technology in building a sustainable future, where quality education and openness of knowledge become the basis for progress. NURE continues to be a platform for such initiatives, bringing together science, education and community.
