Representatives of the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Laser and Biomedical Engineering of NURE actively participated in the 6th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Health of the Nation and Improvement of Physical Culture and Sports Education,” which took place remotely on April 15–16, 2026, hosted by National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.
Participation in the conference was the result of fruitful cooperation between the Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Department of Biomedical Engineering, highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of modern scientific research in health, physical culture, and digital technologies.
As part of the conference, a scientific report titled “Features of Using Modern Video Technologies for Distance Learning and Physical Rehabilitation” was presented. The presentation was delivered by Oleh Avrunin, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.
Special attention in the study was given to the role of physical education in the context of the current digitalization of education. Researchers from the Department of Physical Education and Sports emphasized the potential of using video technologies for the effective organization of remote classes, monitoring the correct execution of physical exercises, and assessing students’ functional state.
The study results demonstrate that the implementation of modern video technologies opens up new prospects for the development of physical education, enhancing the quality of the educational process, and improving physical rehabilitation programs.
