“Of Cossack Lineage” Art Exhibition Opens at the NURE History Museum

06.10.2026

The NURE History Museum has opened the “Of Cossack Lineage” art exhibition, featuring works from the Grynyov family collection.

The exhibition presents paintings by Ukrainian artists of the twentieth century and contemporary authors. It is dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks and the Day of Defenders of Ukraine and offers visitors an artistic perspective on Ukraine, its cultural heritage, historical memory, and beauty.

The opening ceremony was attended by NURE Rector Ihor Ruban; Ukrainian art collector, scientist, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Borys Grynyov and his wife Tetiana; and Maryna Konieva, curator of the Grynyov family collection.

The exhibition is presented in the NURE History Museum’s renovated exhibition hall, redesigned according to a project by University artist Yurii Vatkin. The renewed space provides a dedicated venue for artistic, cultural, historical, and educational events at NURE.

Alongside the “Of Cossack Lineage” exhibition, visitors can explore an ethnographic space featuring traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirts and historical household items. The exhibition space was created with the participation of the NURE Scientific Library, the “NURE without Limits” Accessibility Service, the University Student Club, and the NURE History Museum.

The exhibition brings Ukrainian cultural heritage into the University environment and introduces visitors to works that reflect the history, character, and artistic imagery of Ukraine.

The exhibition is open throughout October, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Guided tours are available for organized groups. Advance registration is required by phone: +380 97 442 87 46.
