NURE students became the winners of the first selection stage of ICPC-UKRAINE

The competitions of the first qualifying round of ICPC-UKRAINE took place on September 18. The event, which was attended by more than 800 student and school teams, took place at more than 50 venues.
The Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics was represented by 26 teams. According to the results of the competition, four KNURE teams got into the top 5 teams in the Eastern region: the first place in the university, the first in the region, the first in the country, took the team KhNURE_Energy is not over (Oleg Vallas (IPZm-19-1), Igor Barenblat (ITINF – 19-1), Matviy Aslandukov (SShim-20-2));
the second place in the university (the second absolute in the region) was taken by the team KhNURE_Lacrimosa (Denis Smirnov (PPM-19-1), Victoria Kovaleva (SShim-21-2), Mikhail Kupriyanov (PZPI-19-2));
the third place in the university (fourth absolute in the region) was taken by the team KhNURE_RandomPeople (Anton Gavrashenko (SPM-20-2), Ivan Logvin (PZPI-19-3), Andriy Voronyi (SShim-21-2));
the fourth place in the university (fifth absolute in the region) was taken by the team KhNURE_Who? (Valery Hrynenko (ITShIz-21-1), Yevhen Nasonov (IPZm-20-1), Wu Nam Lap Dinh (PZPI -21-6)).
The coach of all NURE teams is Oleksandr Vechur, Associate Professor of the Department of Software Engineering.
The winners are currently preparing for the next stage, which is the quarterfinals of the world.
It will be recalled that the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Programming Olympiad has the status of 1/8 of the International Student Team Programming Olympiad. Students of all universities of Ukraine, as well as graduate students of the first year of study are invited to participate in the Olympiad. The competition is held between teams of three students.
