Maria Berdnyk, a student of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, took 2nd place in the top division of the Online Olympics as a member of the national team of Ukraine.
On the Internet platform From May 20 to September 15, chesscom hosted the 2021 Online Chess Olympiad.
The Olympiad was held in 4 stages (divisions) with the participation of 153 teams from 152 countries! The team consisted of two men, two women, one junior, one junior and the same spare team.
It is known that in chess Maria Berdnyk there are:
– nine-time champion of Ukraine in the classic game in different age categories and fifteen-time among all types (classic, fast, lightning);
– bronze medalist of the World Chess Championship among girls under 16.
– Olympic vice-champion of the world on the fifth board as a member of the national team of Ukraine under 16 years.
– World champion among schoolchildren in the Ukrainian national team.
– winner of the World Championship among girls under 20 (the most prestigious youth competition);
– the only girl who has the title of male master of FIDE in Ukraine;
– the best junior of Ukraine under 20 years;
– reserve of the women’s national Olympic team of Ukraine. The student of KNURE took part in the Online Chess Olympiad
