NURE – Slovo House: An excursion to the legendary building in Kharkiv

For the second time, lecturers, students, and staff members of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics visited Slovo House in Kharkiv.

The excursion for the group was conducted by historian and employee of the NURE History Museum Valerii Leiko. The participants learned not only about the conditions under which Slovo House was built and functioned, but also about the history of Kharkiv at that time in the context of Ukrainian politics in the early 20th century.

Prominent figures of literature and culture of the Executed Renaissance era are, without a doubt, geniuses and, at the same time, people with complex and sometimes tragic life stories. Learning about their lives and creative paths means understanding not only history, but also the present.
