Goal 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. Develop quality, reliable, sustainable and resilient infrastructure, including regional and transborder infrastructure, to support economic development and human well-being, with a focus on affordable and equitable access for all.
The result of scientific research to promote the development of environmentally sustainable biotechnology in the agro-industrial complex was a seminar with the participation of scientists from the BME Department, which took place on September 29, 2020 at Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture named after Petro Vasylenko.
The seminar discussed the issues of increasing productivity and increasing the number of cattle by creating radio pulse electromagnetic technology and electronic electromagnetic radiation system in the millimeter wavelength range for the treatment of calves.
Radio pulsed electromagnetic radiation is able to modify the immune status of animals, have anti-inflammatory effects, improve blood microcirculation in tissues, activate physiological and reparative regeneration.
Currently, antimicrobials, hormones and other chemicals are used to preserve young animals. Drugs are often ineffective, and their long-term use often entails severe complications caused by the rapid development of fungi, staphylococci, hematological strains of Escherichia coli and Proteus. The results show that an alternative to drugs may be the use of radio pulsed electromagnetic radiation to affect the biologically active points, mast cells and neutrophils in blood vessels.
The theoretical and practical results of joint research were presented at the seminar.
Based on theoretical studies, the natural frequencies of biologically active points of the skin of animals, necessary for the treatment of radio pulsed electromagnetic radiation with frequency modulation; the parameters of radio pulsed electromagnetic radiation are determined; substantiated parameters for the emission of millimeter-range radio pulses with frequency modulation; the influence of the parameters of radio pulsed electromagnetic radiation for the treatment of calves is mathematically interpreted.
Practical results form a scientific and technical basis for the creation of radio pulse biotechnology, electronic generator systems and antenna systems in the millimeter wavelength range.
The use of electromagnetic biotechnology for the treatment of calves allows:
– increase up to 100% conservation of livestock;
– increase their live weight by 20-30%;
– reduce the incidence to 10%.
The research results were tested in 2018-2019 in the farm “Ukraine” Sakhnovshchyna district of Kharkiv region. Economic efficiency from the introduction of pulsed electromagnetic biotechnology amounted to 50 thousand UAH at the rate of 25.0 heads.
