NURE scientists are among the 2% of the most cited scientists in the world

Citation indicators are widely used by world university rankings. Therefore, analysts at Stanford University and Elsevier publishing house annually rank the most cited and influential scientists in the world based on their Scopus profiles.  This year the calculation was carried out as of September 1, 2022 (version 5).
Citation data for the entire career of the scientist and data for the last year are presented separately. The number of citations including self-citation and without it, the ratio of the number of citations and cited articles are given.  Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields. Career data are updated until the end of 2021, and data for the last year refer to citations received during the 2021 calendar year. 195,605 scientists are included in the career database and 200,409 scientists are included in the last year’s dataset.
The ranking of the most cited scientists for the entire career includes Konstantin Avramov – Professor of the ST Department.
The ranking of the most cited scientists for 2021 includes 8 scientists of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics:
Oleksandr Lemeshko – Head of the Department of ICE, Oleksandra Yeremenko – Professor of the Department of ICE, Dmytro Ageev – Professor of the Department of ICE, Tamara Radivilova – Professor of the Department of ICE, Ivan Obod – Professor of the Department of MTS, Kostiantyn Avramov – Professor of the Department of ST, Oleh Avrunin – Head of the Department of BME, Volodymyr Khakhanov – Professor of the  Design Automation Department

In the final ranking list for 2021, the leading Ukrainian universities were represented: V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University – three scientists; Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv – three; NTU “KhPI” – four; Lviv Polytechnic National University – six; NTUU “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” – six scientists.
