In his opening remarks, Head of the National Agency Andrii Butenko emphasized that modern quality assurance in higher education goes beyond formal control and documentation. According to him, it is primarily about the viability of universities, public trust, and the development of human capital.
During the seminar, participants discussed the prospects of external evaluation according to European standards, including the guidelines of ESG 2027, the role of academic integrity as a component of the internal quality assurance system, as well as practical aspects of applying the “List of Significant Deficiencies” in the activities of higher education institutions.
The event also included a meeting and training session with the Sectoral Expert Council “Information Technologies”. Participants had the opportunity to join a Q&A session with representatives of the National Agency and discuss the specifics of the work of sectoral expert councils in the context of modern requirements for higher education quality.
